Configure Putty ssh client

Download the Putty software : https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/latest.html

Put in a directory on your local machine p.e c:\users\wvanburen\putty
unzip the zip file

Create a public key by executing *puttygen.exe* . 



Insert  2 times a selfmade password called "passphrase" . 



Copy and paste the public-key and mail to hpc-systems@lists.umcutrecht.nl  . 



Save your private key. 





Create and save a configuration to hpcgw.op.umcutrecht.nl named hpcgw .



Add you secret key to the configuration.



And save it into the configuration .



Run the config and enter your selfmade passphrase.
